LetsRock's 1986 Lincoln Mark VII

Purchased 7-2001, my Lincoln has earned the right to be the car Ive owned the longest. Originally the car is from Florida, from there it made its way up to Minnesota where it survived a couple of winters, I traveled all the way to the twin cities from Ann Arbor MI to get her. Yeah the paint looks rough, the clearcoat is peeling off the hood and the roof but unlike many VII's I see locally its body is very solid with only slight rust here and there. Its not driven in the winters here.

1 1/2" headers, 2.5" mustang gt catback/h pipe with lx tails. 2 cats were removed and the remaining 2 were hollowed. The 86 LSC 15" wheels were swapped out in favor of 88 LSC 16" turbines with wider rubber which of course was brand new when swapped, 225/60/16's from the previous stock 215/65/15's. The clear front corners have been rewired so that the curb lamp blinks instead of staying lit while turning, side turn signals were added to the fenders and tinted black ala BMW.

A gauge pod was added to left c-pillar with volt and oil press gauges . A blaupunkt mp3 player fills sound duties, front speakers are pioneer 3 ways, the rears are pioneer 6x9's with a 200 watt pioneer amp enclosed in a custom made enclosure built into the right 1/4 panel cavity in the trunk. All the stock interior lighting has been switched to blue bulbs with exception to the map and visor mirror lights.

The stock leather seats still in decent shape!

Here's the stock powerplant with plenti of mods done. Mods done: Ported upper intake, intake spacer, 65mm TB, CAI/K+N, Ford Motorsport 9mm wires and ign coil, Blue High Miler Cooling hoses, EGR spacer, hood insulation removed, Baumann Engineering stage 2 shift kit in the trans which is from a 92 LSC and was rebuilt. Poly bushings throughout and subframe connectors added to reduce body flex.

More to come in 2004!

Thanx for checking out my page. What are your plans for performance? I seen you got a CAI. Thats a good start, thats what I started with. Just coz it was easy hp. But it isn't the best. The CAI really xcels when you got xhaust and a TB. If your car is stock. Just take the milk jug otta the fender and put in a K&N filter. You will get a better throttle. (This is if you have the intake hose that is straight through. . .)

Scott. Thanks for checking out the OldSchools! I've got family in Tecumseh and a 78 Continental in a barn in Onsted. Hit me up in an e-mail and I'll hit you back when I come North again. John Dancy OldSchool@LSCclub.org
