New motor has gone in with gt40p heads, canton 7qt pan, edelbrock torker 2 intake with spacer, holley 650, k&n, also ordered new super turbos to quiet it down a bit and sound better. Hoping to run low 13's on radials.

This page is for my 1984 Mercury Capri RS. It is a factory RS with a 302 with 5 speed. I bought it for a $300 and fixed it up to what it is now. It was originally white with yellow and orange stickers from the factory. Now it is Omaha Orange and way better looking. In place of the factory front bumper cover is an 85 GT cover and a 85 GT hood. The motor now is also out of the same 85 GT.
Just got done putting new head gaskets and a new timing chain on after blowing the head gasket between the #1 and #2 cylinders. Probably from overrevving it. Anyways, Ive got this done and milled the heads .020 and had a fresh valve job and seals put in and it runs great. Should run an easy mid to low 13.
I just installed a 3g 160 amp one wire alternator from alterstart sys. It works great and looks great.
Well that motors out now. I just put my 84 motor back in because the oil pump locked up in the 85 motor and i didnt want to take any chances. So its the 84 shortblock with the .030 heads, all new gaskets, melling standard oil pump with heavy duty shaft, new waterpump, and lots of more new stuff. I also put in a proform shift light, edelbrock air cleaner,sold the stereo system minus the head unit and regular speakers, and a few more things. This motor runs much better then the other and am expecting better things from it. Oh I also put in a new t5 tranny along with resurfaced flywheel, and whole new clutch assembly. The tranny is out of a 4 cyl turbocoupe, but I used the right pilot bearing so I should have no problems. This tranny is low geared and is alot more fun.

-weld draglite racing rims (15x3.5 front, 15x8.5 back with 165 tires in front and 265's in back
-Im getting a frpp crate short block from a friend for $300 soon, and am getting a set of gt-40 heads to go on it for around $300. Hope to run low 13's or high 12's depending on traction. I hope to get some drag radials too.
