Whats up man? yeah the 2.5L is rated at 164hp, like ZE said, CAIs dont give a lot to our engine. Plus yours is a stock short ram intake with a big ass K

Hey, six looks nice and clean, keep up the good work! And a few things... 1) our 03 engine is rated 164hp not 168hp or 145hp 2) Our engine doesn't seem to get a huge benefit off an intake, so a true cold air intake will add from 1~5hp depends on your mods 3) Don't order anything from corksport.com cuz they are way over pricing, check out the for sale section on mx6.com or probetalk.com, you'll find something useful... anywayz, come check out my M-Edition and let me know what you think!

some advice if you have alot of money, the j spec intake manifold and cams from corksport costs over $1500 without shipping, or you can get the whole damn j spec engine for $1500 shipped on ebay, then if you wanted to get a supercharger or turbo you just have to swap out the high compression pistons for some low compression pistons. im not going F/I so im saving up for the j spec just swap it in there and do some bolt ons, headers, bore throttle body etc, that should get me into the high 13's low 14's

Hey man, The Mazda KL-03 enigne found in the Mx-6 is a 2.5 liter V6, not a 3.0. A stock 6 should run about 168hp. I put a K&N short ram intake on mine (my first mod) and thought it felt faster, but after getting it dyno'd it only added 1hp. Can't beat the sounds though, but get a bottom breather style and youll be really impressed, as well as gaining another 1hp or so.
