Genuine Old Skool
Here's an '87 B2000 I did back in 1987. Back then airbags were an unknown... so this truck had air shocks front and rear, and a Gabriel Hijacker in-cab air pump and valves. I could raise and lower the truck about 3" total. These pics are of the truck in the up position. In the lowered position the front spoiler had to be removed. Wheels are MOMO Aries. Grille was smoothed solid and truck was cooled by electric fans pulling air from below. Grille was in the paint booth at the time of these pics. Mirrors, door handles, fuel door, tailgate latch, etc., were all shaved.
I recall some friends declaring me to be certifiably nuts when I whacked through the frame and added a huge step notch. Nowadays it's standard fare to hack on a frame.
