Hi all!
Here is the car after I put silver hood stripes on in 1998. The color is GM Flame Red.
This is what the car looked like a few years back after I removed the vinyl silver hood stripes. The sun basically cooked the decals. The silver turned to gray and the vinyl cracked all over the place. Since the paint under the decals didn't fade like the rest of the hood, it left an image of the decals in a darker red. But after a few rainstorms, the darker red spotted up and didn't look to good.
So on went a black Formula Power Bulge hood. At the same time I put on some Ronal/SLP Firehawk rims with BFGoodrich gforce KDW 275s. Going from the stock 235/60R15 to the 275/35R17s yielded a tremendous increase in traction, but at the expensive of an increase of 12 lbs per wheel over the stock 15s. Later, I added 91/2 Trans Am tail lights.
