The first set of warmed-over cylinder heads.....
Exhaust port

Combustion chamber

Lower intake port (at the cylinder head)

Viton valve seals, new seats to accept LS1 springs

Lower intake port (topside)

Basic specs: Gasket match and light port/polish work on intake side of heads, full bowl blending, 3 angle valve job, Viton premium valve seals, LS1 springs, mirror polish on exhaust ports and combustion chambers, heads milled about .020" to yield a small increase in static compression ratio (about 9.8:1; stock is 9.5:1). The oil drainback holes have been enlarged slightly to keep oil from pooling in the heads. Also, the lower intake manifold has been gasket-matched and lightly ported/polished.
These were installed early June, 2005 with Fel-Pro gaskets, a swanky-looking AFPR from Caspers Electronics, cleaned and flow-balanced fuel injectors from WitchHunter Performance, a re-coated set of TOG headers, plus all the normal maintenace stuff any good engine builder would do. I removed the AFPR soon thereafter, as I was running pig-rich, despite setting the fuel rail pressure to factory specs. A new OEM pressure regulator is back in use.
