This is my 1997 Pontiac Bonneville SE. With over 242,000 miles she runs great, of course she has some age on her, and with alot of highway miles things tend to start breaking so luckly I'm a mechanic and I know how to fix it, if it breaks LOL.
She has a 3800 Series II V6 engine. A 4T60-E Automatic transaxle with overdrive (Standard), and about 19mpg in the city/27 on the highway. I've never abused her, she's strictly been driven on the highway (thats why she has so many miles). She gets an oil change every 2,500-3,000 miles, and a transmission flush at 25,000 mile intervals. The only mechanical thing I have wrong with it, is the sending unit is broke in the gas tank, and the A/C compressor went on me last month, which will cost me about $300 to fix but thats ok. My headliner is starting to sag too :-( but no worries $115 for new headliner and re-done visors and she will be back to perfect condition.
All in all though I love my car to death, she's a damn good car, the only things I've replaced were the coil packs, water pump, battery, and fuel pump. I'd say for 242K I got my moneys worth!!!!
