WELL I FINALLY GOT THE NEW HOOD ON LAST YR FORGOT ABOUT SETTING UP PICS HERE BUT GOOD TO BE BACK IN THE SWING OF THINGS HERE IS A TEASER OF WHAT IS TO COME. After a yr in storage I finally brought the bird to life. Nes IAC, Fuel tank and pump, fuel filter, Autolite pluge, Motorcraft wires, dist. cap and rotor. My god what a big difference these autolites and motorcrafts wires had on the car. I highly suggest you put these items in your bird for optimal performance..more to come soon, Ill be updating the site aswell.

This is the same car that I have been looking for since 1999, when sadly enough, the original Thunderbird was totaled. SInce I found the Turbo Coupe many ideas have come into mind for this custom creation. The following pages are to document the progress of my work. So read on and let me know what you think of my ride, if you have any ideas to share please email me. THEJON1880@YAHOO.COM

Your TC is looking good. I like the way you have mod it to fit your taste and not follow someone elses idea. Go with the exhaust upgrade. I made my cold air system using the stock air box. I used flexible aluminum dryer ducting with a K & N cone filter. I put it in the nose and ran the ducting up the fender and hooked it to the elbow going to the stock box and then sealed the 3 holes in the bottom pan in the front of the air box. My turbo kicks in about 200-300 ealier than it did before and I gained about 1 mpg on the freeway. I have an 87 and 88 TC.

The install wasnt that badd, I has 2 of my friends who went to school for auto body help me. I used regular bolts and bolted it right to the body, If you get the same kit that I have you might have to modify it slightly to fit on the turbo coupe. Let me know how it goes..later
