I sold my 88 GT in May of 2003...

...and then purchased my 1999 Cobra in early June of 2003

My 1999 Cobra is a Rio Red Cobra. The interior color is medium parchment. The car somes stock with 320 flywheel horsepower and comes standard with a 5-speed transmission, and 13" brakes, and Independant-Rear-Suspension.

the thunk is usually caused from slop in the IRS due to crappy bushings and basically a crappy design. with some better bushings and a few tweaks to the IRS, it MIGHT go away, but the solution usually lies in a solid axle swap.

switchin through gears, I too have to deal with the "thunk" noise. what do you mean by IRS? Cuz i'd like to soon get that taken care of too.
