I am currently tearing down and rebuilding this truck. It has a 318 auto 323 gears. I was running it with 33 inch tires.
My plan is to put 40 inch mud terrains with little to no lift. 4:10 gearing with a dana 60 up front and a 14 bolt out back with selectable lockers front and rear. I am undecided about engine just yet, but I am leaning towards rebuilding my 318 with cam, heads, intake, carb, and leaving the rotating assembly alone. I have been throwing the idea of a crate engine around. maybe a new 700 r4? 203/205 doubler?
I plan to fit those massive tires with custom fender work. Full cage with soft top and hard top.
