sickcamry's 2001 Toyota CamryMy head unit is a Clarion ProAudio HX-D10. This model is no longer in production. It has a fully motorized faceplate which is detachable, and does not have an onboard amplifier. It features a 20-bit DAC and has an option called "tone bypass" which disables all EQ and processing effects and sends an unaltered signal through the RCA outputs. Unlike most head units, this unit gives me the option of completely bypassing the onboard equalizer. Sound quality is excellent.

sickcamry's 2001 Toyota CamryFor equalizer duties I use an Alpine ERE-G180. This is an in-dash 1/2 DIN sized unit. It has 11 bands of equalization, with ?12dB of boost/cut centered at 31.5Hz, 63Hz, 125Hz, 190Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, 1kHz, 2.2kHz, 4.5kHz, 9kHz, and 18kHz. It also has a variable HP/LP crossover, fader control, and an Alpine BBE processor, although I do not use any of those features.

sickcamry's 2001 Toyota CamryFor crossover duties I use a Tru Technology F-1B. This is also an in-dash 1/2 DIN sized unit. It features a continuously variable subsonic filter and variable lowpass, bandpass, and highpass filters. It also has a built-in line driver with separate gain controls for each of the three sets of RCA outputs. What makes this unit even more unique is that the crossover portions are not shared; the bandpass portion is completely independent of the highpass and lowpass portions.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

sickcamry's 2001 Toyota CamryI decided to go with the Max Fidelity MFDT30neo tweeter. It features a neodymium magnet, silk dome, low Fs, and good power handling. Top-end extension and low-end extension are superb, and it?s extremely detailed.

Nice, very very nice. I love seeing clean Dynamat installs, very impressive.

Nice install. I can always appreciate a DIY system which obviously has a lot of though put into it. I bet it sounds as good as it looks.

Sweet looking Camry. I did the same thing on my Camry with the Dynamat, but used Paintable Spray on Rubberized Undercoating that you can get at any Autozone of Checker Auto Parts. That stuff worked just like the Stinger Spray on S.D. and when it dried it was not sticky at all. It was only $3 a can and covers a lot of area. Check it out sometime. It also didn't have any fumes after the first 24-48 hours either. Anyways, I love the ideas that you've put into your Camry. Keep up the wonderful work. I hope to see some install pics soon. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

GrandMasta, excellent choice of car, the Camry is so quiet and smooth stock...nice work on sound deadening (I may have to borrow some of your ideas with carpet foam) and thanks for your advice on SD.
