One of my current project cars is an 1985 Dodge Shelby Charger. The old engine was given a boost in performance with home made parts, some good used one from the junkyard and the many from parts car that I've owned.

The current setup is a full T2 conversion. The 2 piece Intake and the exhuast manifold has been ported. It also has a 88 tbi cam with the roller rockers. The boost is at 14 psi that blows threw a supra intercooler. It has a bigger radatior from a different fwd chrysler. Full 3.0" inch stainless exhuast with a 3" glass pack muffler to a true dual 3 inch tip. Cone filter with stainless piping.

It has the stage II glhs computer. It has enkei wheels that are 17 x 7 10 spoke chrome. As for tires it got a set of bridgeston potenza size 205 40 17. The whole car gets slowed down by converted to minivan front. Homemade front strut bar from a buick. Also has the tercel coilover installed pictures below.

On the inside
Autometer boost guage. autometer air/fuel gauge and a shift light. The windows are tinted to 20%. I deceded to put the system in my car. The setup is alpine head unit that suplies the signal to the door speaker amps which a 300 x 4 lighting audio amp. The door speakers in the front are also 5.25 3 way lightning audios. The rear 6 x 9 3 way pioneers in the rear. There is no back seat in the car since the subwoofer box sit in it place. The subs are 2 12" sony xplod that get way over powered by the 2000 x 2 legacy predator amp. The wiring is daul 4 gauge one for each amp. The total wattage of the system with the amps comes to 5200 watts. Pictures of the system will be posted when it all finished by me.

Well after 2 years of sitting it runs again. Gave it a bath today and took some current shots.

Here a pic of my valve cover. I had sanded off the turbo and chrysler on it and paint it completly wrinkle black. Then put on a shelby emblem off a gt 500 where the turbo was.

Future Engine and Drivetrain
Currently have
413 trans
88 2.2

2 piece intake that ported
tbi exhaust header
88 tbi cam
Ghead with +1 valves

My goal is was anything in the 13 seconds or better in the 1/4. But I think I can do 12s. Special Thanks to all the people on turbododge.com for the help.

My past shelbys and other fwd mopars that are no longer with me/us is on page Two.
