Here's my just-purchased Vee Dub, a 1999 Jetta GLX VR6 with a 5 speed manual transmission. I got it cheap off my friend's brother in law, he thinks he blew the head gasket and didn't want to tinker with it any more. I just gave it a quick wash and spray wax, it wasn't in that bad shape although I'm going to have to hit it with a buffer soon. I'd like to do a whole paint job down the road but for now I only have to touch up two rust spots and it will be good for a while.

Here's the two rust spots:

Here's a look at the inside: the leather is in great shape, the carpet was very dirty but cleanable, the dash is in great condition minus one trim piece missing after install of aftermarket JVC head unit, rear cup holder is broken and it's missing a couple door locks. Also the headliner trim on the sunroof cover is unglued and almost completely off. My before pics are on page 2, here are the after cleaned pics:

The car already has an aftermarket sound system, with a JVC head unit and 4 Infinity 6 1/2" speakers. I will probebly keep the Infinitys but definitely will ditch the JVC and replace with a new unit that has MP3/ WMA capabilities and satellite radio as well as add a single subwoofer.
The tires are pretty shot but that didn't bother me, I think the stock 15" rims are both too small and not attractive so I'll be on the lookout for 17"s when I'm ready to upgrade.
