This is what it looked like in Cincinnati around Nov. 2008

Then I moved to NJ with my fiancee (now my wife).

Here it is Oct. 2009 now and I am now able to work on my car finally.

First things first:

I have to remove the spoiler and that rediculous one peice light fixture.

Fill in the holes left over...

sand it down nice and smooth...

Then prime it.... still not sure which spoiler I'll go with

I have an aluminum one I bought for $20....

moving along...

The hood needed some work... only had to deal with nicks from rocks

Yes that is my wife helping me... so wonderful she is.

the hood is primed....

Along with the right fender..

Next was the BIG project

The Right Quarter Panel........

I have a dent in the front so I fixed that... but as I moved on towards the back

of the panel, I noticed that I have a larger problem.....

More and more dents the farther I went..

Such a headache..

All in primer except for the bumpers because I am getting a body kit for it so why waste

materials and time on something I will not use?

In case anyone is wondering, this is what I plan to accomplish with my car.

I made this in NfS Most Wanted

I am using this as a reference or guideline if you will.

1) Wife's car was painted

2) Wife's co-worker's car painted.

3) Possibly an old Buick

4) An old co-worker's VW

5) Something unknown

Wicked cav dude. I just wanted to know - is it difficult to paint the exterior yourself? do you need a paint gun or would primer and all the requirements be okay through a spray can?

Loving the progress! I wanted to do the same thing you are doing with the back slope to the rear quarter on my second gen. Keep the great work up!
