1966 MUSTANG COUPE

Will be updating soon 7/23/05

Brief History
This is my 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe. It was originally built in San Jose, CA and had a Candy Apple Red paint job. The car was originally a 3-speed, but the previous owner did an engine swap from a 289-C code to a 5.0 302 and chose to convert the car to automatic.

Owned the car for about two years- been working on it since, and have since turned a restoration in progress to a reliable daily driver with a little something extra under the hood. Enjoy looking and feel free to contact me about anything you have questions about.

hey, i really like the stang. Mine is a 66 coupe 2. Its really funny that i chose the same subs as you without even seeing yours. I like the layout in the trunk, but i was thinking of doing the same thing except with them pointing toward the back seat. Could you maybe send me the dimensions of the box. Right now i have the Alpine 6x9s int the tray with the 2 Alpine 1242d 12" subs in a free box that someone gave me. It sounds good, but like you said, it takes up too much space. I will build my own boxes one day, hopefully it will come out as slick as yours did. Look at mine if you have time. Not much there now, but i will add to it soon

Uh yea dude that trunk system is phat. Eventually when I get the money I plan on doing something similar so I might PM you for dimensions and stuff. Hot ride though for sure.

Nice stang! I really like what you did in the trunk, I bet it sounds good! How did you know how big to build the boxes for the subs for optimal sound? I am planning something like that on my car but I'm trying to fit 28" tall racing slicks inside the trunk plus 10" subwoofers pointed in where my rear seat would be. It's a little different layout but I want do to it how you did with the MDF and covered false panels. Can you send me as much info as you have from your project, if you have any drawings, measurements, pictures anything. THANKS!
