This is my new project. Picked her up October 3, 2009 for $200. She has a 20-r engine, and a 5 speed transmission. She also has the original 1977 engine sitting in her trunk (crank bearing seized.) But the gem of it all... is that shes got working R-12 a/c!! The next few months I'll be handling all the rust that I can find.. not a lot that I can see, but its what I don't see that worrys me most.. Then I need to get to work on her carb and head gasket issues.. From there who knows?
These 4 are from Jim's house.

Got her home across the gandy bridge. People were pulling up next to her takin pictures. General "Wtf is that??" looks on their face :-)
Got her home and got a camera that works.

This one, the hood on the drivers side sits a little low. The hood release cable snaped and Jim (guy I bought her from.) had to mess with the front to get in.

Here you can see the hood slightly up. Unsure if I want to fix the release cable or go with hood pins..

Little brother made the comment "It looks like a peeved cockatoo.." Can't say i disagree :-).
And yes before anyone posts, thats house paint on the hood :-\ . Easily sanded off.

Multicolor camo :-)

Original rims. I've got 2/4 chrome wheel rings.. got a large list of parts im ordering from www.toyheadauto.com round about tax time. Right now to my knowledge she does run.. but with a BHG (blown head gasket) im not pushing it much. Her other issues include (but are not limited to), air in brake line, blown microswitch (for a/c to run which according to Jim ran great with the original r-12 still inside.), stuck thermostat (caused the bhg which is 1 way(water in oil no oil in coolant) so its not completely blown) and some kind of issue with her car alarm.. its rigged into her headlights and taillights but theres no siren and the owner before Jim lost the remote.. oh not to mention a bit of rust. All in all not bad for 200$. Before tax time I'm going to work on her bodywork, stop the rust before it eats anymore. And possibly take care of that BHG.
