Canadian Chrysler Daytona Turbo
My new project. The price was right!

14" steel wheels- not correct and have to go!
Serious interior and engine cleaning required!
The progress:
I have replaced the driver's side mirror and rearview mirror.
Removed the tatty old headliner, running without one for now, but bought material to repair it in the spring. Update: Replaced the headliner with a nice black one out of a 1991 Daytona ES.
Replaced both window tracks, power windows now work!
Cleaned the K&N drop-in filter that came with the car.
Replaced the spark pugs.
Installed a stereo head unit and speakers: nothing fancy, just basic tunes.
Fixed a bad ground in a tailight and replaced some burnt out bulbs.
Replaced a bad thermostat, I have heat now!
New wiper blades front and rear.
Replaced the worn out seats with a set of black ones from a 1991 Daytona ES.
Replaced the front struts, rear shocks, and rear springs. Also left lower ball joint and rear brake cylinders.
I picked up a set of correct "Pizza" wheels, but will leave them off for now as I still like the look of the "Lace" ones.
The Un-Progress:
The car appears to have some electrical gremlins! Things that have recently stopped working but worked when I bought this car include the windshield wipers (temporaly fixed by smacking the motor with a screwdriver; it will have to do until warmer weather!) and just today all of the interior dash lights stopped working! (haven't had time to look at this one yet) Update: Dash lights fixed, a bad bulb socket in the heater controls was burning out the fuse when I replaced the burnt out bulb.

The cable linkage for the gear shifter broke. It took almost two weeks to get the part in, but it's fixed now. The car is starving for fuel under heavy load. I'm hoping it's only the fuel filter, but it might be something worse the pump. On the plus side; the car handles pretty good in the snow/ice. I replaced the distributor cap and rotor today, but still need to get to that fuel filter ASAP!
All in all, not bad for $325 Canadian! The car is now a nice riding, reliable daily driver. Down the road I might convert it to TII and get the body work done, but for now it gets me from point A to point B!
