I bought this '70 164 several years ago for $100. Since then it has been (sadly) sitting and slowly deteriorating. BUT! I've recently bought some parts for the car, and hope to get it  back up and running shortly. Here are some old pictures. the first set are off EBAY from before I purchased the car, and the second set was me towing it with my '73 164e. (don't have the '73 anymore)

I bought the car with a freshly rebuilt engine and transmission. However it wouldn't shift right. After some investigation I found that the car had a manual transmission radiator, so it had no provision for the transmission cooler lines. Wouldn't be a big deal right? Wrong, instead of just looping a hose from the trans output line to the input they simply BLOCKED THEM OFF! Oh well, easy fix.

So stay tuned, I hope to have this car running soon.
