Thank you for visiting my page.  This is my Transformer Themed TA.  I've opted for subtlety in many of the mods & not so subtle in others.  I never wanted it to be the fastest or the loudest, just a unique one of a kind ride.  One of the last warriors of a now dead species of muscle car.

Please leave a comment & let me know what you think.

Purchased new in Dec. '01.  Primary daily driver for the first 2yrs after purchase.  Garage parked after that seeing pavement only for road trips to Vegas, California or Northern AZ.  Currently has only 38k original miles.  Completely stock package until Mar. '09 when I decided to overhaul her cosmetically with some performance upgrades.  This is the stuff I've been talking about for the last 8yrs of the car's life.  It was time to put these things in motion.

Current Specs:

LS1 V8 w/ Functional Ram Air

6-spd manual stock transmission & gearing

Custom tuning package from DynoComp in Scottsdale AZ producing 330WHP / 420BHP ... 360ft-lbs @wheels / 425ft-lbs @crank - (please see page 2 for more info on her HP rating).

Performance:

The wheel HP above is actual numbers off a dyno.  The BHP is estimated by adding in 28HP to compensate for the HP lost due to the bigger heavier tires then figuring on 15% of loss between the crank & the wheels - (Page 2 for more on that).

0-60 & 1/4 mile times under stock conditions were put out by GM as 5sec & 14sec respectively.  The guys at Dyno-Comp who custom tuned the car believe the 0-60 time right now is somewhere in the mid 4sec range, maybe 4.5 give or take a fraction even with the bigger tires.  They have a pretty good handle on that estimate because they spent about 5 continuous hours with the car on a dyno running pull after pull.  Unknown on the 1/4 mile time, but considering the bigger tires and the exceptional ammount of increased torque from stock it could be somewhere between 12.5 & 13.5 sec.

Actual certified track times may not be possible because of the installed vertical doors.  I'm finding that many tracks (at least here in the Phx area) view them as a safety issue & a liability, so they will not let you run on the track with them.  In either case I'm not looking to compete with anyone, just trying for personal perfection.

Shout out to AZ Motor Trendz in Peoria AZ for helping me complete my vision of this ride.  They provided some of their own unique ideas & implemented those ideas smoothly, helping to make my ride truely one of a kind.  The guys there work hard & have a dedication to detail.

I've developed a 'Transformer Theme' for the car.  In keeping with that theme I decided to photoshop a concept Transformer Autobot in robot form.  The Autobot's name... 'HEADERS'.  I've checked & thus far I don't think that name has been taken.  The name is not firmed up yet, so if you have a suggestion please kick it my way.  Being the dork that I am I figure his back story is based around him being Bumble Bee's brother from another mother.

As is yours ! Thanks for the fellow Autobot Trans Am love ... haha. Since yours went thru I think the lack of comments issue may be because of the "related rides" section still has a bunch of old profiles. If you noticed none of the ones listed are newer than like early 2000 (year posted I mean). No ones really seeing ours. That's usually how I've spotted the cool rides in the past. We can just comment on our own cars and blow smoke up each others asses !! LOL !Later dude, J.
