Everone has a dream, mine just happens to be building the perfect show car. I decided that dream required five key components; styling, performance, audio video supremacy, security, and most important attitude. This is my dream (so far).....

Styling:

In my mind I figured that styling consisted of three major components; exterior, interior, and the engine compartment.

Exterior:

One of the most basic, yet effective exterior mods are rims and tires. I decided on 18" chrome Monderas, I then wrapped them in 245 BF Goodrich G Forces. I finished the look with red painted calipers. littlebigblock's 2000 Chevrolet Blazer

A more advanced but still common exterior mod is lighting. I had to get rid of the ridiculus orange corner lenses, so I choose APC clear corners, I then added some Xenon headlights and a chrome grill to match. Then it was to the back, APC euro tails did the trick.

I decided my ride needed some night time appeal, so I grabed some Street Glow neons and got to work. For the Interior I used 2 9"s under the front seats, 2 15"s under the rear seats, 1 15" between the rear seats, 1 15" in the engine compartment, 2 15"s on my amp rack, and a strobe in the port of my box. I also replaced the dome, accent, and exterior accent lights with red bulbs.

For the exterior I used 1 20" behind the front grill, 2 30"s in the front and back, and 2 40"s for the left and right as well as a headlight strobe kit and an additional strobe behind the grill.

I finished up the major work with a ZR2 suspension providing a mild 2" lift, and a custom red aluminum flake paint job. After that I concentrated on the little details, a custom vinyl tint strip, some paint on the grill, a license plate cover and custom accent lighting, I stripped off all the factory stickers, added a billet gas door, shaved the roof rack, loomed and painted the undercarage, and even painted the gas cap.

Interior:

Unfortunatly reupholstering a car is expensive, So I did what I could. I started with a nice source unit, and some Trenz billet accesories. littlebigblock's 2000 Chevrolet Blazer

I also added an APC Billet Aluminum gauge cover, and a Trenz Billet pedal kit.

To Finish off the interior I did some crative paint work to offset the boring dark gray dash, added a chrome bowtie rearview mirror, and made a fiberglass center console including a custom switch panel and 8" subwoofer.

Engine Compartment:

I took a special intrest in this part of my ride (seeing as how all great showcars have decked out comps). This is what it started out as. littlebigblock's 2000 Chevrolet Blazer

Performance:

I started with a 4.3L V6 Vortek which produces roughly 190hp and 250lbs of torque. I am proud to say those numbers have improved drastically. It now produces roughly 265hp and 315lbs of torque! The transformation began with dual 2.5" Flowmasters finished off with 4" chrome tips. I then added a K&N filter and built the rest of the cold air intake myself using 3" pvc.

That alone put the engine at nearly 230hp and 265lbs of torque. Still feeling the need for speed I decided to add a supercharging system. After lots of shopping I picked the Spiral-Max turbine system, it consists of 4 turbines (2 in the intake and one in each exhaust pipe). To finish it off I used a Hypertech power programer to adjust the air/fuel ratio and automatic transmission.

Audio Video Supremacy:

This area was a major concern to me as well. I started with a Boss DVD player a 5.6" PTICBM in the passenger visor, and a 7" T View dropdown, all clarified by an Accele 3 channel video amplifier.

I then built the system around an Boss DVD/MP3 receiver, Profile PM40 Equilizer and a Delphi Roady satelitte receiver. I then added my component speakers, 4x6"and 4", Profile CX Coaxials, 6.5" Profile BP components, and an 8" Profile Jam subwoofer up front. In the rear I used 6x9" Profile CX triaxials and a pair of Optimus tweeters. I decided to power these components with Profile California series 640 and 440 4 channel amplifiers. I then had to add some bump to the trunk. I went with 2 15" Profile Jam subwoofers in a custom slot ported enclosure holding 3.27 cubic feet per sub and powered them with a massive CA1200 2 channel amplifier. This setup is good for just over 1500 watts RMS and an amazing 2200 watts peak output.

There was still one item left to address however; power. That many watts required some serious juice! An Optima red top battery up front, a Stinger SPV 44 battery in the rear, a Stinger 1 Farad capacitor with a digital readout, and a Delphi 160 amp alternator insures that the power stays surgin'. Just in case though I have an onboard charger/maintainer and a solar panel that recharges the batteries while idle. All conections were made with high quality Stinger and Tsunami products including 1/0 gauge power wire, 3 sets of hyper series RCA cables, and only the highest quality ANL and AGU fuses totalling 760 amps of current passing capability.

Security:

To insure my rides saftey a Viper 350 ESP security sytem was installed. Then to insure my saftey from traffic violations a Beltronics 995 radar detector/voltometer did the trick.

hey its Tom. I really like your car and I wish i had the skills and money to do that. haha. It is a nice car, but i have one question; Why did you use the optima red top instead of the yellow top?
