A little spectifications about myself..
I m a senior in high school but to going to college later this year..
I own a 1999 Converted 3000GT (who can tell the difference?).. Yes I m asian.. haha.. and I love to drive my car.. my last car was a 93 hyundai scoupe turbo and i have gotten one photo enforcement ticket for something i didnt even do (ran a red light?)
I also have 2 friends who thinks a 95 dodge neon with an intake and exhuast can beat a 2001 eclipse GT V6 model and my car.. LOL.. and a friend with a PT Cruiser which has a 2.4L 4 banger i believe who thinks hes car is best looking and can go fast.. but he still hasnt said anything about my car.. except that hes car is better looking and wayyyyyy better than mine in everything.. is it just me or do they look like funeral cars?

Q: Why didnt you just buy a 1999 3000GT VR4?
A: Well the problem is, VR4 is known for high maintance and all TURBINE cars are known to have flaws and last shorter than non-turbine (known as turbos) automobiles. The differnce in acceleration is not that much far apart.. Considering two stock 3000GT's one a base and one VR4 (Twin Turbos), their only off about a second or two in quarter.. considering a vr4 is a rock.. although i would take one if I had some money saved up, but in the meantime base 3000GT is good enough for me...
Q: Is it hard to do a conversion?
A: Yes it is.. i mean whoever says its easy is GOD himself... the project is hard and takes about 1 month. (yes, cancel the insurance company for the month...)
Q: How much should I be willing to spend? what kind of parts do i need?
A: Depends on the dealership... they all have different prices for some reason.. but my buddy works at the parts department and is the assistant manager so he hooked me up major..
headlights were the most expensive oh and dont forget the HOOD..

Q: Are you going to put a body kit? ya know.. Modify it?
Well 3000GT's arent meant to be riced out.. yes its called riced out.. meaning tuning in normal terms..
There are 6 super cars japan automakers wanted to patent..
1.) Nissan Skyline
2.) Toyota Supra
3.) Nissan 300ZX
4.) Mazda Rx-7
5.) Mitsubishi 3000GT
6.) Honda NSX (known as Acura NSX left hand Driving in America)
These cars arent meant for big wings, massive tin can exhaust size of a POT I cook my turkey in.. or to have so many stickers, other drivers get dizzy by just looking at them....
I say if you have these super cars, try to make it look clean and decent and not waste your money on stickers (decals), spoilers, Mufflers or any other Rice Equipment.. and body kit? I could have bought 5 veilside 4 piece body kits for the amount i spent on my conversion..(being sarcastic here) and yes I did get everything painted.. its not rainbow colored.. THANK HEAVENS.. but if you have honda civic (god of all tuners) or hmm, a saturn? feel free to do whatever is nessesary to make it look like a super car...
Q: What about the Body KIT? ANSWER MY DAYAM QUESTION...
A: okay okay.. shiet.. first the body kits they make for the 3000GT's are ugly.. some lips and the bomex kits look ayte.. but geez, by the way you install the bomex, theres so many screws you leave out, who knows, it'll probably fall off on the freeway or crack going over a speedbump...
Q: What made you want to convert it into a 1999?
A: Good Question, well I hated the stupid flip up lights.. the fact is.. I HATE THEM.. their ugly and as far as aerodynamics go when they are up.. BAHHH!! There is like two huge ears coming out in the front of your car.. puhahaha..
THE SNAKE EYES, now that is what I call complete complicating crap.. I read the instructions, I was like.. FAWK THAT.. It was like a dayam novel.. anyhows thats just my opinion and everyone has their own taste and flip up lights isnt one of mine..
If I could have an acura nsx older model with the flip up lights, and a new one without the flip up lights, I would definatly go fot the one without the flip up lights.. ya mean?

Here are my Rims I got.. 17" Focal F5 with Toyo Tires.. I regret getting these cause I wanted the 18 inch because the 17 inch is too small with the low profile tires.. anyhows I m going to save up to by the 18" VR4 Chromes later on.. anyone wanna offer me a good price for mine that I have on right now? 5 X 114.3
Cost? 1,650 (1,648.72 to be exact!!) at les schwab tires...
