ONE1UP's 1954 Chevrolet Bel Air

Under Construction!

              1954 Chevy Belair

The front suspension is a Heidts mustang II with rack and pinion steering, Tubular A arms, disk brakes,  And an air ride tech system. The rear suspension is a narrowed 9''inch ford with Strange 31 spline axles, 350 gears and a lock right posi unit, and a triangulated 4 link set up along with the air-ride also. The car has been tubed and has 15.50 Hoosier pro street radials. It has drum brakes in the rear.

 Now for the engine!!!

This is were I'm sure to get nothing but grief from a grip of people!! But oh well!! The car is powered by a Twin Turbo 410 cid small block Ford motor. It is a .040 over 69 Windsor block. It has a stroker kit from Jim at fordstrokers.com. Forged crank, H beam rods, And Probe pistons. Internally balanced. All excellent stuff!! I went with a custom ground turbo roller camshaft. Avenger CNCed aluminum heads. They have been worked over and have 225cc runners 2.08/ 1.7 valves and 64cc chambers. Cometic head gaskets, and SS roller rockers. The intake is a Victor Jr. ported from a top nascar race team, And the distributor is a dual pick-up  Moroso from Roush racing. Along with a MSD 6A and a msd boost control box.  The fuel goes through a 750 mighty demon blow through carb from Berry Grant. The Twin Turbos are a hybrid .50 A/R compressor housing and a .63 turbine housing. The wastegates are 11-12 psi. The headers are a custom built t-3-4 without a name? The inter-cooler is a dual in single out style like the 5.0 uses. The 5 speed tranny is from a 93 5.0 mustang. And has a stage 3 ceramic clutch and an aluminum Fidanza flywheel.  The top on the car has been chopped 8 inches in the front and 10 in the rear. The rear window is from a 48 Chevy truck. And the front is a new original the has been cut down. As of now there is no side glass. I was going to go with a power set up. I suicided the doors and shaved the handles

Only primed but fuckin evil lookin already!

First day at home!

This monster of a car is currently in the hands of Chris Ramirez at RAMIREZ ROD & CUSTOM in Caster, WY.  Chris's shop is hands down the best shop i've ever worked with. I cant wait to see  my car finished. He's not only painting and finishing body but rebuilding back half of car with a Art Morrison 4 link and rear frame kit! its gonna be able to harness the 700hp this motor is gonna put out when we're finished with it.... Its gonna be satin silver with gloss back trim and bumpers.  We're shooting for a early summer finish and trust me this is gonna be one of the wickedest cars on the road!

We will update photos and build progresses.
