Erfquake's 1999 Dodge Dakota

This is my 1999 Dodge Dakota Sport. 2wd, auto transmission, 3.9L v6 with 175hp and 225ft/lb of torque. The internals are pretty much stock, but as it stands it's a fun little truck, and it gets me where I need to go. The only external upgrades are the billet grille, chrome wheel lip mouldings, a spray in bedliner, and the tonneau cover (which is never on it). It used to have flames, but I removed them because they were hideous.

Inside the truck, I put in a Sony XPLOD stereo head because the old one was weak and lacked a CD player. Also, I took out the center seat so there was some more interior space, and to make room for future audio plans.

Future mod plans are intake, exhaust, and maybe rims.

Here is the truck back when it had the flames.

And here it is at the beginning of summer, pretty much how it looks now.

hey dude, msd would be your best bet. i like the ignition control unit (offroad), with a new coil made for the 6 series like the hvac blaster, and then some new wires, preferably 8mm or bigger. it basically just gives you a lot more sparks, instead of like 4 grand you got like 50 grand, better throttle response, gasoline burns smoother, and more efficient. basically an extremely good set up in my opinion. it cost me about a grand or so. but its worth it.

I actually disagree with jimhala, i don't believe a chip in a regular aspirated 99 v6 would do much good at all. I put a superchip in mine and i couldn't feel the difference at all. your better off beefing up your ignition its more money, but the difference in torque, horsepower and straight up "pull" is unbelievable, chips are for diesels..
