Welcome to my page.  I have had a 1998 Audi A6 2.8 for about the past 5 years. I just sold her about a month ago, and loved that car so much that I bought a 2001 A6 2.7T.  Needless to say it's time to start all over with the mods, and this one is MUCH faster and in way better condition inside and out.  The only thing i regret is buying another one that's automatic, but the price and condition of this vehicle were so good i could't pass it up.  Browse my page, take a look at my pictures, and throw me a few comments.  I'll try and check them and return them as much as possible.

Here's a list of the current Mods that i have done within the first 30 days of ownership:

-LED Light Strips custom mounted in the top slot of the Fog Grill's.  (inspired by S6)  LED Strips Came From Oracle Lighting Technologies. (installed myself, took about 3hrs.  Linked to my parking lamps)

-Chrome'd Out Fog Grill's

-Carbon Fiber Vinal Emblems on all 5 headrests.

Mods soon to come:

-Offset 19" Rims. Haven't decided on a style yet.

-Presedential Metalic Window Tint

-Euro Rear Window Roof Spoiler

-S6 Trunk Spoiler

-Boost Gauge (Hopefully installed over the Left Air Vent in the Dash to the left of the Gauge Cluster)

-Downpipe and exhaust (haven't decided on brand yet, any suggestions welcome)

-Some Kind of ECU Chip (haven't dont a whole lot of research yet, but i would love to increase the Boost! Any suggestions are welcome.  Please let me know if you have done this and how it came out/how much HP gain/how much of a difference there was/if it was worth the cost/if you would do it all over again!)

UPDATE!!

I've finally decided on what wheel's i'd like to throw on the new 6.  They are the 19" Hartmann G5 Lamborghini Gallardo Replicas.

Here's a photo of them on another C5 A6. Let me know what you think of them and if you like them or not for my ride. (i would love it if they came in chrome, but i can't seem to find them in chrome anywhere)  Lots of people have mixed feelings about throwing replica rims on your car from another car.  Keep in mind that Lamborghini is part of the VW Automotove group, which is why it also makes sence that these rims come in the 5x112 bolt patern.

Also,  if i do end up getting these rims, would it be appropiate to put the AUDI center caps in them (since they are allready the right size that i can pop in my factory caps) or would you put in the lambo caps because they are replica lambo rims.  i am thinking of doing the AUDI caps but others have mixed opinions. let me know.

Also,

I am thinking that my next mod will be the aftermarket "Devil Eyes" as i did the "Angel Eye" conversion with the black housing on my last C5. (Please See Pic Below)

I loved the look of the AM headlights on my 2.8, however the quality was VERY POOR... i would hope that these new "Devil Eyes" would be of better quality, especially because now i have HID's instead of Halogens.  If i do end up getting these lights i will prob upgrade to 10,000K bulbs and ballasts, I'm not sure if i have to buy new ballasts or anything but we'll have to see what i end up doing. PLEASE COMMENT on what you think of these "Devil Eyes" Conversion and if it's worth the 475$ price tag. (keep in mind this isn't crazy because after the upgrade i can sell my factory lights and make almost all the money back so they will end up costing less than 200$ when it's all said and done.

OK, so i know that i maybe went a little overboard with the questions, but i would love to hear the opinion of any of you here on car domain because asking my friends around town who dont even appreciate cars enough to create an account here is just pointless.  In my opinion, what you guys think is more valid than the opinion of any average joe on the street because you actually have a tastefull understanding of the time/effort/cost/and pride that goes into modding your car out to be the best it can be.  Comments welcome!

 UPDATE 9/24/09

Just installed a 6000K HID Conversion kit for my fogs. Looks great. the only dis-advantage is that now i have to upgrade my headlights to match!  Here's some before, during, and after photos.

Cool A6 I like the LEDs but Lambo wheels don't look good I rather go for RS6 Wheels if I would change my wheels, anyway you get 5 from me.Check out the RS6 Wheels onhttp://www.oewheelsllc.com/Audi-Wheels/By-Style/RS6/tc304369-3-1//page/1/checkForLanding/true

First, sorry for being long winded. When I got the Devil Eyes, I got them from Tmtuning.com, for about $400 (could have got them cheaper on E-Bay, but just the wrong timing and I wanted to be sure of where I was getting them). At that time I didn't realize that there were other versions out there with HID's already in them, so I got them with Halogens. The light output was questionable so I got a 6000k 55W DDM tuning HID kit. My only two complaints about the D-Eyes is the bulbs do shake a bit, which I am currently looking into finding a fix for. The other is that at least here in NJ, they fail inspection because they do not have a "DOT" stamp. Stupid. So I have to swap the OEM's back in, get re-inspected, and put the D-Eyes back. PITFA. But best of luck to ya, let me know how you make out. Peace.
