1966 Ford Galaxie
Location: Mexico City (It's a long story how I ended up down here) .... But there are A LOT of old cars with very little rust!

04-September-2009: The Galaxie is now at a body shop in Mexico City. They've done a lot of work on classic and high-end cars here. Standox paint. Everyone seems pretty excited about it. They should do a really good job and make sure that the car is as smooth and straight as it's ever been since leaving the factory back in 1966. But it's not in that bad of shape. There's no rust and the body work that is already on the car was done pretty well.
No rust. But you can see where the work was previously done along the edge of the fenders. (Don't worry, the "exhaust" system that's current on it will be sh*t-canned!)
I like the way it looks without all the chrome emblems and trim. ...... After all, I don't want an original car that has the exact same bolt and lock-knob as the original VIN number would have had rolling out the dealer lot in '66. ..... This baby's gonna be a muscle car! .... the way it SHOULD have been with a factory option in '66.
It looks pretty mean without the grille and chrome. I think I'll see if I can have a new custom grille made out of stainless steel or aluminum. Something really simple and agressive looking. Any suggestions????
I need to make the perfect grille.
Man! I love that big box of a front end!
The interior is not much to look at right now ..... but that will change at a later point during the transformation!!
All the windows (except for the little triangle windows at the front) will be made electric. That's going to be so cool to lower all the windows at the same time!!
