11/2/09- i just ordered a brand new infinity reference 10in sub off crutchfield for $50 with a 40 dollar price break. it has an rms of about 60-250 and maxs at 1000w. ill be hookin it up to a jensen 300w but ill probly turn it down to 250. here in a couple weeks ill start building an enclosure for the sub and 2 eclipse 6x9 3 ways. ill then have surround sound with a nice sub to enhance it all. im going for a quality system not alot of bass at all. then ill probly upgrade the Roadmaster 6.5in 3 ways i have in the door to somethin nicer. the previous owner putem in.

 

 

 

10/20/09- my truck is now driveable since i took the defective spindles off. now sits 3.5 inches off the ground in the front with 3in coils and low pro tires. rear i took out the blocks and just put in 3in leafs so its level. ill have pix up soon. im eye level in my truck with ppl driving cars.

The story behind my truck named Ole Yeller...

This is my 2003 Chevy S-10 Xtreme Limited Edition. i say its limited edition because next to the xtreme emblems it says limited for some reason idk ive never seen it on another xtreme.

Anyway my parents got me this truck a year ago as my first car when i got my license. It was bone stock except for mirrors, tint, and head unit and speakers. Im a general car lover i like all types wether its imports deisels muscle cars anything that stands out. i ended up with an xtreme because my half brother bought one around '02 and i thought it was the coolest truck ever...too bad he got drunk and totalled it. but as i was lookin around for cars like cobalt ss's, camaros, and anything i could find my dad mentioned that truck. i immediately started searching on ebay cars.com and auto trader and discovered that these xtremes are unlike any other truck and are pretty eye catching. Yellow is not my favorite color i wanted a blue,red, or black xtreme with stripes but this yellow xtreme was the only one in good shape, price, miles, etc in the area. Im glad i got a yellow one though since its rare to find xtremes in yellow and they really stand out. i started modding it in june when i actually got some money that wasnt being put in the gas tank. its getting there bit by bit but jobs are hard to come by these days so i havent been able to buy parts that often. some are freebies like some parts i got for my 17th birthday and i only got the stripes for making honor roll all year last year as a junior. Performance wise id like it to be in the 14s but im concentrating on show first rather than go. All i need to do is finish lowering it, by a lil paint for the roll pan,interior, and grille and get some racing seats and smoked halos and thatll pretty much do it. itll be pretty sharp. and as always a work in progress. and if you actually read all of this then i guess i didnt type all this for nothin lol.
