The car is a 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX currently set up to run ESP in SCCA Solo competition. In DS trim in 2008, it took car owner Karen Kraus to the L1 ProSolo Championship in Topeka, Kansas, as well as the runner-up for both the DS-Ladies National Championship and the Ladies Challenge Cup. During the offseason, it underwent heavy modification to move up to the street-prepared level, and was unveiled for some shakedown runs in June 2009.

At the first National level event post modification, the DC ProSolo, the WRX met heavy downpours with impunity, despite being shod with 295/30R18 Hoosier A6s instead of more proper rain tires.
