the first day

this is my 1983 trans am high output that i just bought. it came with a 5 speed from the factory but no longer has it. wen i bought it it came with a 200R4 auto tranny to put in. it has the 305 HO with a little less than 72,000 miles. it had two different sets of seats, but neither were a complete set, so i found a friend who had a pretty good set out of a third gen camaro. it had been in a small acdcident...someone that had it before me hit a large rock and it meesed up the front suspension/steering a bit. so i bought a new spindle, strut, and A arm and its good now. also i spray dyed the carpet black and it looks great. it is a project ive been working on it and im enjoying it i just cant wait to get more work done!

i got the tranny in, driveshaft in, spent hundreds of dollars. just got my new rims and tires, repainted them. it runs like a champ but has a small oil leak. i did the valve cover gaskets tho so maybe its the oil pan gaskey. still havent got to drive it yet but hopefully soon. heres some pics.

i took out the plastic wheel wells, cleaned them then undercoated them.

most of the interior is out, i dyed the carpet black.
