Hey everyone, this is my 1973 AMC Javelin with the rare Pierre Cardin interior. Making this 1 of 4152 of these models if my memory serves me right. Well to give you a little background I am 18 years old and am still in high school and just recently started my interest in restoring cars about a year ago. Since then I have been saving up to purchase my own project car. In my searches for a suitable muscle car project I came across the AMC Javelin and fell in love with it. Sure enough, a couple months later after a lot searching I stumbled across this one on ebay. The car was the owners attempt to reconnect with his youth, originally owning a a Javelin just like this one in his early 20's. But he never had time to finish it and has since sat in his barn for quite some time. Well I went ahead and fought the other bidders and won with an ending price of $3600. That weekend we drove 16 hours round trip to get it.
Here is an external view of the car. It has a custom T-stripe and is Fresh (wild) Plum in color.
Here is a couple decent views of the orginal Pierre Cardin interior which is in excellent condition for its age and for the fact that it was a daily driver for many years.
Here is the engine compartment which is a big mess at the moment. It has the origibnal 2bbl 360. Which of course has been changed over to a holley 4bbl with an Edelbrock intake and hedman long tube headers.
Thanks for looking and let me know what you think!
