Nothing new really. Still saving up money. There is a guy that is suppost to buy my old body kit so that would help a lot. Haven't heard anything from him.

This is what I'm waiting on...$500+

Street & Strip:
Now that the car is rebuilt, it will now have 0 miles on the engine. Before the rebuild, it had 82,968 miles on it.

Last time I went to the track I got a best time of 17.893 @ 75.34mph. My car was basically stock. I took everything out of the trunk and took out the back seat. I also took off the wheel covers because it was regulation.

Best Time:
17.893 @ 75.34mph
- 3rd Run in 2007. I only had 4 runs that night. Car was basically stock but had no back seat and nothing in the trunk.

Worst Time:
18.734
@ 73.00mph - 1st run ever. It was in 2005 and I only had 4 runs that night. Car was bone stock with full interior

Now things are way different. I wanted to go down again before I rebuilt the car completely but I never got a chance to. I know I'll be happy with the time I get this time. A lot of people said it should do high 11s or low 12s. I don't know. I'd be happy with low 14's but I'd be extremely happy if it did do 12s. If I get a supercharger I know it will hit 12s easy. I might get a turbo...I don't know, I'll figure it out when I get some runs in and driving time. I can hardly wait.

History:

TrickdOutSunfire's 2001 Pontiac Sunfire
2001 Pontiac Sunfire SE Coupe with a 2.2 OHV and 4 speed Auto (4t40-E) transmission. It had 42,000 miles on it when I got it. The only problems I've really had in the past couple of years was the alternator, shifter assembly, battery(because of the alternator), and exhuast brackets needed fixed. That's not all that bad. Now EVERY major part is brand new so it should run excellent for the next couple years. It is an R-title and was "totalled" on the front - right hand side before I owned it.

I  bought the car from Stoystown Auto Wreckers on July 8th, 2004. It needed a new computer, right fender, front bumper, hood, left door glass, left mirror, spoiler and frame needed pulled,"NO...really?" The car was finished and inspected. The windows were tinted and had Japanese stickers and dragon pedals. Had to take them all off/out so the car would pass PA R-title inspection. I waited about 2 mounths for the paper work to come back from Harrisburg saying I could drive it. I've been driving it since November 7th, 2004, not counting the rebuild. I paid $1,450 for the car and after the parts and buying the car, my total was $4,000. Pretty good considering the same car was still going for at least $9,000 brand new in 2004. The dash and the air bags killed that total.

Over the years I've done small things here and there. I never had the time, money, or knowledge to do what I wanted. I am finally getting to accomplish one of my dreams and naturally I had to do it all on my own. I never had much support from anyone. The most help/support I ever had was from my friend Jeff. He's actually the one that rebuilt the car and taught me a good bit of what I know now. My dad helped with info. He explained how to do curtain things and what it would do but as far as support goes; He didn't tell me not to do it but he didn't really encourage me to do it either. That's still the most support I had from family. Friends on the other hand thought it was cool but none of them know how to do anything. Now things are different and the major work is done...for now.

1995-2002 Pontiac Sunfire Full Invader Bodykit
Paid $550 for it. Needs prepped and painted. It is a fiberglass kit. Buyer must pick it up, it's in Somerset, PA 15501. Asking $300 or best offer...have to get rid of it soon because it's sitting in someone else's garage and I'm moving. I want to put it on but with all the driving and racing I'm going to do, I need something urethane.

I will sell it in pieces if need be.

1000 dollars? yeah thats a super deal. I thought I had a good deal at 2500.00. Everyone else in my area only deals with insurance claims or wanted 6000.00 just for the black. Oh Im not sure how much you know about paint but tell him to use base coat clear coat. That will basically give you the same finish as a new car would have. If he says he uses enamel DONT DO IT! You will be sorry! Thats the quick crap Macco( an inexpensive paint place in my area. Not sure if you have them where you live)uses to paint cars at like 500 for the job.

Yeah I def know what you mean about the paint job. Sounds like the color scheme is going to be nice. But paint ideas can make or brake a car. As an Idea I would say keep it simple. Green is gonna be a very nice accent but over done will crowd the black and take it from a WOW to tacky(in my opinion). Man I saw this car on here where the guy did his car in Yellow and black and let me tell you, way to much yellow! it was every where! To me it was over kill 4 sure. A little goes a long way. Oh and lastly on that Keepin it simple rem, the more extreme, the more its gonna cost. You saw mine and that was 2500.00 bucks! The more extreme the higher that price would have went. Hope I helped a bit.
