Here's my 2001 "Motorsports Edition" Dodge Neon. You won't see many of these bad boys on the road. What's different about it? Um, not sure! It looks and handles like an R/T but its a slow 2.0 automatic. From what I can tell (its VERY hard to find info on the net) that it was released as a promotion along with the Intrepid and Dakota as Dodge returned to NASCAR Racing. I think it is limited to either an 87 or a 500 unit production run but I could be wrong. There's conflicting info in the internet. I still have the NASCAR tires but they be balding as all hell :P

I haven't done anything to the car. It came with Goodyear Eagle #1's with raised yellow lettering so I decided to go with a racing yellow trim look and paint the calipers and buy a cheap black and yellow foam steering wheel cover from Pepboys.

They don't make these tires anymore. You might find some but they added the word NASCAR to them. I like this style, just not saying NASCAR, so I might buy some BFGoodrich Scorcher T/A's next with the yellow stripes.

Because its rare, I'm not sure if I want to change it around or not. If I do, I want to add the Kaminari Turbo body kit and drop it down a couple of inches. The car sits up so high it looks like an autocross car. This is the older kit. The new one has fog lights in it. I'll also retro-fit the new 2003 headlights onto this (if they aren't the same)

I also want to get some 17" rims. Either OZ F1 Cup or TenzoR ZT6. I think I like the Tenzos better. They look more like racing rims.

With these tires. BFGoodrich Scorcher T/As with yellow stripes.

Oh yea, I've gotten 2 tickets so far for the window tint. The front sides are clear right now but I plan on tinting them again. Hey, as long as I keep getting waivable tickets and don't pay any fines, who cares!? =)
