~HISTORY ON THIS CUTLASS CALAIS~

I Have a 2007 Nissan Maxima and I was trying to make it into (sort of) a show car/daily driver. People suggested for me to get another ride so I don't ruin my maxima so fast. (keep in mind Im only 19 with a 1 yr old son and a girlfriend to support). Well after 2 months of hearing that, I decided to search around! I love to watch the "Speed" channel and love seeing the old classics(Chevelle,Goats,grand nationals,carlos,etc). So, after looking through craigslist.org for a week or two, I came across something in my path! Even though I really wanted a Monte Carlo or Grand National, I couldn't find one under $4grand in perfect running condition (No mechanical problems). I was hoping to get something that just needed tlc/interior help/etc (I like working on that stuff)....WELL----

THE SECOND RIDE I GOT TO CHECK OUT IN PERSON WAS: This 1984 Cutlass Calais, w/rebuilt transmission(only a yr old), newer engine(307 small block) with only 30,xxx+ miles on it(2 yrs old), newer FLOWMASTER exhuast w/cut off tail pipes, 2yr old paint job w/$2grand worth of body work(trims/emblems removed),shaved antenna and converted Vinyl top to a hard top, aftermarket eclipse headunit w/gps,ipod cord/etc, aftermarket Rockford rear deck speakers(converted from 5x9s to 6x9s), aftermarket steering wheel(Grant), newer ecu, aftermarket airflow top, and KMC chrome 18" chrome rims(tires rub right now).--------When I saw it in person I just knew I had to have it. The seller and his friends were mechanics and did everything them selves. He said, all it needed was the ac to be fixed(needed to convert from the r12 to r34,be charged and plugged up), and if I wanted to, I could hook up the smog pump or take it completly off. I had my mechanic check it out and he said, it needed the transmission fluid to be flushed, maybe a new oil pan, tune up and to have a look at the valves(were leaking).----------He wanted $3400 from his 1st ad posted about this cutlass, he saw my wanted ad of a monte carlo/grand national/etc and said he might have something I would like and said he wanted $3grand..After showing it to my mechanic, he said don't spend anymore than $2500 for it. SO I didnt, and bought this baby for $2500 and got to keep the radio(he wanted it back)..

Im currently looking for a COWL HOOD (the hood that has 2 hood scoops that opens towards the interior)....If you have one for sale or if you are giving one away, PLEASE LET ME KNOW...NOTHING all rusted out/dented up (I will delete this if I find one)
