Click HERE to listen to the sound of my Vic after I straight piped it! :)
Here is my new ride, purchased from an older lady a few blocks away. She wanted it gone, and was going to call to have a scrap yard pick it up, so I offered $50 and it was mine. :) It had 173,000 miles. The clearcoat is falling off everywhere, except for the hood, grill and bumpers, which have been repainted at some point.
Below: The merc and vic sit side by side as I slowly remove good parts from the merc to be used on the vic. The merc just needed too many parts, power steering pump, brake lines, and a need for a tunup(again) were the main reason why I stoped driveing it.
I just flushed the coolant system, which was dated as last changed in 1999. My Crown Victoria LX has limited slip(not sure of ratio yet), the tow package(which consists of separate transmission and power steering coolers), and rear air bag suspension.

It sat for 3 years in her yard, after putting a good battery in, and three cranks, it fired up and smoothed out.
More pictures and fun stuff to come! Going to replace the mufflers with straight pipes, install a shift kit, do something with the paint, and intall a mild stereo setup.
Check out my other rides!
