That shit's not EVERYTHING and it can be gone just like that. I'm enjoying my life for what it is right now...
When i first bought my car, and put the rims on it-.......it was nice. I liked it just like this. But there was a problem.....I was always mistakenly viewed as another of the numerous amounts of LAME ASS females who like to drive around in a dude's car and feel cool.(LOL-shout out to the lames...)
So i thought to myself....hmmmm....what should i do????
While i thought about it....I added some lettering to both sides.
I don't remember exactly when I decided to go pink......but I do remember that I had been thinking about it for a while, but just never did it. I was a little hesitant at first, because I wasn't sure how it would look....First, I asked a guy i knew who did custom work on cars how much he would charge me to do it. He said $100 if I got the paint. I, myself, thought a hundred dollars was a little steep to paint 4 inserts.
So then I asked a guy at my base who had painted my friend's rims to do it for me...and he was like,
" Just leave it like that, it looks good as it is.."
And so i did.
For a while.
On March 30, 2009, i decided to paint my own damn rims.
I went to Home Depot and matched up some paint, bought some primer, went home, took my inserts off, and began the process. It only took me about 3 days to get it all done (between work and life).
I knew ahead of time that i wanted the words 'IMPALA' to be pink as well, to tie it all in. After the rims were painted, I took it to back to my decal man to git r done.
My baby was officially DONE!!
And JUST in time for the 09 Texas Relays.
The pictures above of the decal getting put on were taken the DAY of the Relays, I drove down to Austin that same day. For the big weekend, i decided to match my outfit to the car....cute....at least I think so....(wink, wink)
While I was asleep at the hotel, I got JACKED!!
The dumbass crackhead who did this only took my IPOD!! I took these pics before I touched the car, If you look at the first picture you can see where the glove compartment is still open like they left it, where they had taken it out.
Well, i couldn't ride around like that, for one, and for two, i couldn't leave the car open the whole weekend to get jacked again, so i took time out of my RELAY WEEKEND to go get it fixed. I was HOT. Fixin the damn glass cost more than that Ipod.
The cadillac parked beside me got jacked that morning too. They broke his right side, backseat window- in BROAD DAYLIGHT while he was inside the mall. RUTHLESS I tell ya!! (LOL)
Since then, my car's appearance has slightly changed. The words 'IMPALA' are no longer written on the sides....instead. It's been replaced with something else. Please don't ask me what it says. :)
