This is my dad and his girlfriend Tanya's 1990 Mustang LX 5.0 litre. They've had it for almost a year now. It's silver with silver GT stripes and grey interior. It's a 5spd. It was a fun car to drive, I actually learned how to drive manual for my first time on it. However, something happened on March 29th, 2009.

About 9:30 in the morning, me and my dad were heading to a Muscle car swap meet. We came off the highway onto the offramp road. It was a pretty sharp corner. There was a good amount of dew on the road which caused it to be slick....slicker than we thought. My dad went to down shift and the car all of a sudden kicked out and spun right towards a steel lamp post. My dad tried to gain control but it was too late. The passenger's side front wheel caught the concrete base of the post and my side of the car (passengers) slammed into the post and then caused us the spin 180'. The accident caved in my door skin and the front part of the quarter panel. It destroyed both wheels and tires on my side. It broke the balljoint on the passenger's front side also. Thank god my dad did what he did, the way we were slidding, the car was going straight towards it head-on but he managed to side swipe it. If that concrete base wouldn't of been there, we wouldn't of hit anything and just barely missed the pole. It all happened so fast, all I remember is spinning and then sitting there with my side of the car sitting low on the ground. My dad asked if I was alright and then we both got out of the car. Both of us were fine. The lamp post got bent and the light on top broke off. I remember the sound of the car hitting the post but I didn't see anything, I was looking the other way trying to brace for impact. I saw it coming.
Anyways, after several months of it being moved around ICBC's yards, my dad finally got it back at his house. Long story short, after an argument with the insurance company, my dad decided to fix the Mustang himself. There was some additional damage that happened to it while it was in the care of ICBC (Insurance Company of British Columbia for those who don't know). The passenger fender got pretty beat up. The front bumper got scuffed up and the roof got a couple of small dents in it. Also, a bunch of misc car pieces from other cars somehow ended up in it which is funny. The frame and main structural stuff seems fine so we're gonna fix it.

Here's the parts car...a simple 4cyl '89 Mustang with a messed up trans that my dad picked up for $350.
Oh and the best picture....here is what it'll look like after we're done with it!!!
