1997 Chevrolet Corvette

                     
Hey all, this is my Torch Red 1997 Corvette which I purchased on 10 July 2006.  Growing up, my dad owned 2 C-3 Vettes (1977 Stingray & 1978) which I pretty much grew up in the back area of these cars.  Ever since this young age, I grew deep respect and admiration for the Corvette and the awesome cars that they build.  The moment I was able, I knew I had to get my hands on one.  I wanted to have something different though and something I'd really never experienced.  So with that, I went on a military deployment, saved my funds and upon my return took a quick-trip to Phoenix, AZ and picked up this bad-boy!  It was the best feeling EVER!  About six months later...and a whole lot of (let's call it) "experimenting," I blew the transmission and third gear started slipping.  This was my chance to upgrade the tranny, so I upgraded to the Sunshell Beast Housing, and Z-pack clutches.  Aside from the tranny, the drivetrain is still stock but let me tell you it's got PLENTY of balls!!!

Most of my modifications are apprearance-related and/or improvements in replacing stock parts.  First thing I done was buy the decal insert kit all-around (this itself costed around $100.00).  Then I bought Lloyd embroidered floormats, white-face gauges, spec. plate, blackout kit, phantom license plate grille, embroidered dashmat, underhood decal kit, chrome strut covers, chrome exhaust plate w/ C5 emblem and L.E.D. light-up kit.  Lastly, after all my "experimenting"...I wrapped the stock wagon wheels in a set of new Falkin tires.
