tyusha's 2002 Mazda Protege5

Hi everyone.
This page is dedicated to my 2002 MP5, which I bought in March 2003, with 11,000 miles on the odometer. I spent a very long time searching for the right car to replace my beloved 1994 Ford Probe GT, which is currently on sale. I had been in love with my dear old friend Probe since the day I got it in the Summer of 2001, and wouldn't even be thinking of selling it if I/my family had enough means to maintain it properly. Although I have taken great care of it and it is still in very good condition, there are some understandable repairs which need to be performed routinely, and I simply do not have the time and energy right now to put as much effort into my Probe as it needs.
So to make my long story short, I finally made the decision to buy a Protege. My friend has a 2001 Protege ES with standard, and I have always loved that car. So after my mind was set on the Protege, I had to find one with standard, which, believe me, was not at all easy. But finally, here it is. It took me a whole month to start loving the P5, because I could not get over the Probe... But I do now. Just as I think that the Probe is one of the best Fords ever made, I think that the P5 (and Protege in general) is one of the best Mazdas ever made.
On this page, I will describe all the mods I make and my experiences with the car overall. Also, this page will be a memorial to my first love, the Probe. I am not planning to turn my P5 into a sports car, my niche is upgrading the stock a bit, without voiding the warranty. I am not planning on putting a huge (and heavy) audio system in my car either - maybe some good speakers and an amp at some point, but definitely not anytime soon.
OK, enough for the intro - here are my cars.

tyusha's 2002 Mazda Protege5 My new addition ( as of 04/29/03). I added some Pilot Racing Pedals, which are really cheaply made, but have an unusually nice feel.

Nice Protege! I'm looking to get one sometime soon. Also love the deck, I'm running one in my car and it's made me a very happy driver.

Congrats on the new hood when it comes in. I'm getting a MSP front end out of my accident.
