Fourth Horseman's Supercharged
2003 Mercury Marauder
"FSTMERC"
I bought my Marauder new in June of 2002. It was my daily driver for nearly five years. After turning over daily driving duty to my 2007 Mustang GT I decided to get serious about making my Marauder faster.
In July of 2008 I installed a Vortech V3 S-Trim supercharger . The transmission has been built to handle the power and has a Precision Industries 3500 RPM stall torque converter. I have 4.10:1 ring and pinion gears in the back. Wilwood 6-piston brakes provide extra stopping power up front. Extensive suspenion mods include: Eibach Pro-Kit springs, larger anti-sway bars front and rear, Metco Motorsports billet aluminum upper and lower control arms in back, and Metco Motorsports billet aluminum watts link arms.
I'm running 18" x 8.5" Liquid Metal Static wheels in front, and 18" x 9.5" in back. Tires are Nitto NT555 Extreme 255/45 in front and 295/45 in back.
My next upgrade will be a set of Kooks long tube headers and exhaust system to help the engine breath out. I think the stock exhaust system is really holding me back.
The car dyno'd at 417 RWHP on 6 PSI of boost. I have since installed a smaller supercharger pulley and am seeing just over 8 psi of boost peak. I have not had it back to the dyno since, but will once I get the exhaust upgrades done. My goal is for 450 RWHP.
