ATTENTION!..."CHANGE" OF PLAN...I BOUGHT A 1981 TRANS AM "TURBO" BANDIT SE WS6!!!
ACTUAL PIC TAKEN TODAY![FRIDAY NOV. 13, 2009] I swapped the 15x8 Snowflake wheels for the "Original" and as of TODAY a set of "Reconditioned" 15x8 Turbo Style wheels with NEW BF Goodrich T/A's(P235/60 on the front and P255/60 on the rear)...Tommorrow its being shipped(ENCLOSED TRAILER OF COURSE!) to Trans Am Specialties in Miami for some final "Tweaking" and then shipped to me(IN AN ENCLOSED TRAILER!)...is there any other way?!...Stay Tuned for more pics when I get them!
SAT. NOV. 14,2009...Today my car was picked up by an OPEN Trailer(I was assured that it would be transferred to a "ENCLOSED" Trailer for shipment to Miami!...it BETTER be!!)
Here it is!...MY 1981 Trans Am "Turbo" Bandit SE WS6...The reason for the "Turbo" is it "Looks" like a Turbo Trans Am...AND it WAS an "ORIGINALLY" a Turbo Trans Am...IT now has a(W72) 400-4BBL PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED under the Turbo Hood! It has had a Frame ON Restoration done on it by the previous owner! It was recently appraised for $28,200 in Texas...and now it's MINE! I have NUMEROUS pictures of the restoration process as it happened supplied by the previous owner which I will be posting shortly...just let me settle in with my NEW ride for now!...I'll be back with more info. and pics at a later date!!
YESTERDAY(Fri. Nov. 20, 2009) My car arrives in Miami(3 DAYS EARLY!!) Once again it arrived on an "OPEN TRAILER"(I was assured that it was only for a short trip from the local depot?!) I was not expecting it to be delivered until Mon. Nov. 23, 2009...imagine that...someone actually delivered on their promise! I have enclosed some of the pics that the shop took when the car arrived...more to follow!!
Today(Fri Sept 25, 2009) I made some arrangements for my new 1981 Turbo Trans Am Bandit to make the "Transformation" complete, here are a few more pics of the "BEFORE"...and later I will show you the "AFTER"!...
