Welcome to my Crazyhorse mustang page. Enjoy...

First day home......

It is a 2001 GT, with 25,000 miles. Thats right... 25,000! An old rich lady used it to go to church on Sundays. Then it sat on the pavement. I like the new body style Stangs, but something about this generation appeals to me more. I guess its the 'sharp edge' styling.
I've finally finished installing the parts I ordered so far. The intake manifold was not too bad. It can be done by one person, but I really wanted it in as fast as possible.

My friend Antwon helped remove the recalled, factory plastic junk.

all done...

The headers and flowmasters (regular 40's) were installed next. I cut the two rear catalytic converters off, and replaced them with pipe. (removing the front two catalytic converters throws a check engine code..) Sounds like its in a tunnel!

The suspension parts were put in next. Camber plates(3 bolt), springs, and a bumpsteer kit.

Then came Christmas in July. 4 big boxes with 18x10 and 18x9 chrome Saleen wheels, with 2 Nexen 295/35/18's and 2 225/45/18's already balanced. The neighbors were jealous. Too bad Steve Saleen no longer owns the company...

A Mach 1 chin spoiler is all I have body wise right now. A Saleen spoiler is in the works, with body matching paint.
Pretty easy to install. Just a 1/4 inch drill bit, and some tape to hold it on while you drill the holes.
The cold air intake came next. It was a little tough getting in the fenderwell without a lift. The car is about 4 inches off the ground in the front.

SCT sent some pre-programmed tunes to go with my upgrades. They will actually send you FREE tunes for life, for each part you add to your car! I'll maybe dyno tune it later to see what happens.

Found aluminum driveshaft for half the price. This allows the engine to spool up faster and turn the wheels with less effort. It also saves you some gas money... The only negative is that you will lose a minimal amount of torque, but there is still PLENTY of that.
