This is Wanda. She's a 1994 Lincoln Mark VIII. These cars were very expensive (43 grand brand new) back in the early nineties when Lincoln tried to make a luxury muscle car when it put in a 4.6 Intech V8 putting out around 290 horses in a two door coupe with all the luxuries that Lincoln has to offer. These cars are becoming more rare because Lincoln only made them for about 5 years between 1993 and 1998. So yeah you can say Wandas a little special cause shes the last of the dying breed of these awesome performance vehicles. But there is something about Wanda that sets her apart from the others. It amazes me that absolutely no one that i know that i thought knew anything about cars didnt have a clue that the 4.6 32 valve DOHC that came out of the mustang cobras put out over 300 HorsePower and 300 ft lbs of torque. So this car was aerodynamically designed and built to do over 180 miles per hour on the bonneville salts flats with a stock LINCOLN motor with little modifications, and now the amount of Horsepower im currently running is pushing that 350 mark, and note that the cobra motor put out roughly 310 horsepower. I changed to a K@N Air Filter and Removed the exhaust resonator and the stock mufflers and replaced the resonator with straight pipe and replaced the stock mufflers to high flow Magnaflows with 6" Oval Tips from 3A Racing. The car runs high octane fuel always all the time, and is currently running 5W-20 Mobil One. Other then that its pretty stock, and to be honest, thats the best thing because we bought this car for a thousand bucks from a lincoln restorer in old orchard beach and the motor and transmission were both rebuilt, so the motor only has 32000 and tranny 5400. This car will get from 0-60 in 4 to 4.5 secs flat. Top speed is still unknown, but best guesstimate is between 160 and 190 (only had it about 120-125 with about 3/4 of the throttle left to go) so I let off (racing a 265 horse 3.5 Maxima on the I-95) Future plans are are my dreams, but hopefully future financial help will make this one of the fastest cars in the south central maine area (current king of the street of SCM is a 850RWHP Viper with a supercharger and methanol injection. Acceleration under WOT will cover so much area and so much road in so little time, before u know it you get from 0-40 in a snap and then u at 125 before u know it. There hasnt been to many cars that have tried to give Wanda a run that have suceeded in there journey. Except for a Porsche 911, non turbo, 3.4 6 speed, can do 190 easily, tore out of first gear like a raped aped, but could of easily stayed with him through a few gears if we werent just fucking around, oh and the porsche was 90000 used, 2003. So, if ur rolling through the streets at night and you pull up to this bitch, you better hope your car does over 110 and doesnt shut off at 109.
