This is my 1988 mazda rx-7 gxl.  The motor runs but not great.  The guy that I bought it from said that it was deamed with low compression.  It has 283,000, so may rebuild but most likely put a turbo in it hehe.  This isn't gonna be an over night project but within the year I hope to have it going somewhere.  The cars not too ruff.  I bought this car on July 13, 2009.  It has a couple dings in it but all in all its worth the $400 I payed for it.:)

Caleb,my math says you bought the car new.If you meant 2008 for $400 bone you got a hell of a deal.Big problem with rotary engines is fuel flow. You could just have a bad fuel delivery problem, lines, filter, gas tank etc.Give me a shout I have a first gen that my son now has and that was the minor hiccup to bring her back to life and shes an 82.Rotarys rule!
