When I got her about 2 years ago, there were some minors things that had already stopped working, but weren't a big deal. Things that should have been fixed a long time ago, but that's what happens when you rely on a guy to take care of your car. My hatch won't stay open, so I have to use a wooden stick. Luckily, it came with the car ;P Also, there is some electrical problems, just loose wires. My radio light won't stay on and my front driver side speaker comes in and out. I plan on getting a whole new sound system put in, so it's not a big deal. My muffler was full of holes, so I decided to put an after-market one on. That didn't work out so well. The person who put it on was a jack-ass, and you can't even see the exhaust. Which means that it's right under the trunk, but a couple people told me that would'nt affect anything. Well, on my way to the beach I had a blanket in my trunk and now it caught on fire. My carpet was burned and I had to take it out. Also, the back bumper now has a hole because that got burnt to hell too. So, a new muffler will eventually come too. She has some rust, and a couple dents from the previous owner on the passenger and passenger back door. Sometime when it rains a lot, there's slight leaking from the hatch, I figure that shouldn't be too hard to fix. About two months after I bought the car, the cam shaft blew, and had to get a new head put on. Completely worth it.
As of now, my baby has been sitting for a couple of months. I was going to sell her, but everytime someone had called I couldn't do it. Just the other day I did a tune-up, and I still need to replace the battery and do an oil change. I also have a hole in my oil pan, but that's not a big deal, easy to fix. I'm so excited to get her back on the road I can barely stand myself.
My plans are big. I'm currently unemployed so it's a bitch thinking about everything I want to do. Slowly but surely, she'll be transformed into a brand new, kick ass car. Right now she's pretty peppy, she has a 2.2, but that's not staying for long. I've never been interested in fixing her up so much, because I kinda gave up. I eventually plan on getting her a better motor, and doing a tranny swap to make her stick. I'm going to fix all the problems that are wrong with the body. I plan on painting her bright yellow like the camaro in transformers. Originally, I wanted to keep the top of the car the light blue that it is, and paint from below the black line a deep blue. I have a huge peace sign on the back window that is a deep blue. I'm going bold, though. I want to get the round mirrors, I love them for some reason. The whole inside is going to be redone. New carpet, seats, dashboard, everything but my steering wheel. It's so big, and I love it. I'm going to have the interior black with some yellow accents. I'm not really sure what I want to do with the trunk yet. The fire caused some holes in the trunk, so I was thinking about patching those and just spraying the whole thing with bedliner. I think that'd look kick ass. The car is small, so I'm not really sure what I wanna do about a sound system yet, I want to put tweeters in the dash but it's so small that it probably will sound amazing without them.
Well, I'm not really sure where to start. I guess I'll figure it out :)
