1986 Mazda RX-7

For Sale Local pickup only, if you are intersted, send me a message. I'll take Best resonable offer.

This page will be for the restorative work of my RX-7. I mostly plan on makeing it a decently looking daily diver. So far I found out a few things that need work on it. My main concern is makeing it drivable. As it stand's, it needs a water pump, and a little touch up work in 2 main spots. I also wanna get it's original hood back on it. I want the Turbo hood for RX project. Here are the pics of both the 86, and the 87 Turbo II parts car that came with it.

I gotta go through the part's in the Turbo car, too see what I got extra, and get it cleaned, and put away. It's gonna be fun I can tell already...

But my goal so far is to get the Tan one working, and find another RX-7 Shell for the Turbo motor/trans/brakes ect..

Well I can tell this is gonna be a fun car to have already. I can't get it started... I know these motor's like to flood, but he kinda overheated the car when he brought it here, and now it tries to start with a strong smell of gas in the air... Kinda dissapointing since my Del Sol started right up everytime...

7/15/09

Well I finally got the car started, it had white smoke billowing out the exhaust for a good minute or two... After the smoke cleared up, I turned it off. And It won't start again... but this time the battery is about dead... I'll keep trying to figure it out, I dont want the car where it is. I went through the T2 and man what a fucking mess. most of the shit in the car, isnt even for a car.. Found bicycle tires, a toaster oven!!! and other various garbage. So I gotta talk to my friend about getting it to his house to take the motor out, and suspension, and brakes off. The only thing im even keeping that was inside that T2 is the motor parts, and tailights... the rest of it was crappy interior parts that were ruined or as I said, garbage..

So I decided to take care of that rusting damage on the roof, as well as a spot on the A piller before it could rust anymore. The end result for the top was nice, the side I had a bit of problems with the primer...

I then proceeded to take more random pictures. I tried to get a better angle of the car, but where the car is sitting wasn't originally part of the driveway... The rain has made our driveway bigger but vey unstable.

Here is the damaged spot I gotta ask a friend to fix (im not so great with stuff like this)

I got a better shot of the indiglo gauges, which I still havnt gotten working yet lol, also how many cars you see with power, and manual window controls!! The power doesn't work ofcourse lol.

I'm still hopeing to get my engine starting problem solved, I visted a friend that is big with rotory's and he gave me a bunch of helpful hints. I just gotta move my motorcycle now, and get the blazer close enough to give my car some juice!

Well I decided to update my RX-7 page. I am no longer keeping the car, since I got my Subaru now. But I got it outta the driveway started it in the road to test it. The car needs a new slave master cylinder for the clutch. And a set of new tires would also be nice. But here is the update in more pictures.

Well sad to say the car still sits where it did 2 months ago, But that gonna change soon, by no choice of mine. It's that time of the year we get fucking snow, and ill get some nasty tickets and letters if I leave it there. I got the Turbo cars motor, tranny and some other parts listed for sale, hopeing to get some takers. Ill take the full disk brakes, and hub swap off the turbo before scrapping the body. Ill get them cleaned up this winter so they can go on the RX-7 this summer since noone wants the car. I gotta get some shit torn apart in it, and cleaned up since the car WILL be sitting all winter outside in the driveway. I also need a car cover for it. My subie still needs fixed too, so Im fucked on a car at the moment. But like always I do my best to get shit working out.

 12/07/09

Lol, well no tickets just get, but Im gonna try to get it moved soo. i'm waitng for some help from my friend to move around all the cars. I have someone interested in buying the Turbo II parts car. I'm really hopeing he does, cause then I can fix my Subaru. But honestly, If noone ever buys this, im gonna do some minor work to it. Black primer it like my Subaru so it matches lol, then possible drive it.

Well I ended up getting a ticket for it afterall, it snowed the day I planned on moving it, but the breaks locked up on one. So after the plows, went by and called the town the asshole stopped by earlier morning to ticket me. So I called a friend with a truck to help me get it moved. I had to drag it outta the side and get the tire moving again, then push it into the driveway. it was a annoying mess, but I'm doing my best to just sell the car. I love my Subaru more than any car i've owned, and it is by far my favorite. So hopefully, I can get it sold, and get the subie fixed.

hows the rx7 coming along? i'm atta stand-still, i'm in dire need for a turboII wiring harnes for the engine, and a ECU, after that it's alllll down hill from there... i found out too that the turboII engine weighs like 100lbs less than the n/a engine, and the hood weighs wayyy less also. just thought it was pretty cool info dude... but yea let me kno when u have ur car running... i'm thinking of painting it flat black to keep the sleeper look going.
