My bf and i got this car a week ago to be our little "project". Of course the guy that sold it to us had no clue what was wrong with it. I think he bought it off someone, then the motor started to make noise so instead of fixing it, li
ke any normal man would, He sold it. Lucky for me, iv been trying to find a 1986 Fiero Gt for months, and i was lucky to stumble upon this one. We havent done much to it yet, like i said, its a project and we only got it a week ago. But so far we’ve managed to pull the heads off and take a good look inside the block. Contrary to what "Mr. Cant-Fix-It" said, the noise was not a valve spring, (tho anyone with common motor knowledge would of known that upon starting it up). We believe the problem is a spun bearing. Lucky f or me, My bf and his best friend are car geniuses, so were in the process of fixing this problem. Once we get it running again, and sounding like the monster car i know it will be, we plan to do al the cosmetics. New windows, new paint, paint the stock rims, lambo doors <3. Again, its a project. We'll see what happens....
