My STI is a 2009 WRB with the BBS and Fog Light package. Had to have the blue and gold combo. I've loved STIs since they were coming to the states and it just made sense to buy one after I started a family, but couldn't lose the car lust. There is no better car for a car guy who hauls kids and lives in a place with wet winters.
I traded in a 2007 WRX Limited wagon for this. Had a 2002 Mustang GT Convt before that.
I went simple with the mods. Perrin Stage 1 package with the Cobb Accessport, Perrin Map, and Perrin Drop in filter. It definitely made a difference I can feel. My 2007 WRX was a Stage 2.5, tuned by Jorge at P&L in Franklin Park, IL. He made that thing into a respectable wagon which had beaten up on Zs, Camaros, and Mustangs. 242WHP and 315lb-ft tq. This STI spanks that, at least it feels like it does. I have to get it to the dyno.

A scoop which can snatch up small dogs and children!

Well, this is the interior.

I made my own stencil and added the STI logo to the intercooler. They shouldn't have taken this off of the 2008 and 2009 STIs. Maybe they thought 13 STI logos on the car were enough (yes there are 13 STI logos scattered around and inside the car). I thought an even 14 was the way to go. Update: Forgot about the two logos in the door sills. That's 15 right from the factory!

These wheels are great but dear lord are they hard to keep clean. If you have them, you know. If they are in your future, hope you have time to wipe them just about every day. If you don't have carpal tunnel now, you will.

Had to take some pics while the car was clean. Chicagoland weather doesn't let it stay clean very long.

It's smiling at you!

Went with the Plasti-dip mustache to make it look a little meaner.

Rally Armor UR flaps installed (easy to do). Saves my paint from being blasted off. Wish I bought them the day I got the car but I had to suffer the abrasions which plague this model. Didn't get too bad though.

Front flap. Notice my girl's sweet ride. She is 5 and does power slides in the driveway with that thing. She suffers from my speed disease.

Full view of rear flaps and mostly debadged rear. Had to keep the STI badge. The flaps look pretty cool in person. Pics don't really do them justice. Doesn't matter, it's these or sandblasted paint!

I was and still am a huge fan of the previous versions of the STI, but I love this version and it fits my lifestyle perfectly now. Sorry but that huge wing is a cop magnet. I guess my color choice is too, but that was non-negotiable. Classic Subie colors.

Aforementioned WRX Limited Wagon with Stage 2.5 tune from P&L. Surprisingly fast, but not as fast as my STI.

Aforementioned Mustang GT Convertible. I loved this car but it had to go. I will always miss her but I think what I have now is pretty good too. My STI obliterates this one.
