This is my new project, more or less a better car to drive then the celebrity and i've always wanted a car from the 70's. i'd never heard of one of these until i saw the ad for this one on craigslist but they're pretty cool and unique cars. this one is a 1974 Buick Apollo with a 350 buick and a 4 barrel carb. As you can see it is a pretty big project, but the interior is in better shape then i even expected it to be, just needs to be cleaned up. the first few pics are from the ad on craigslist. and then the rest of the pictures are pretty well explained. hope you like it and check back every now and then to see the progress.

These are some pictures of when we were lookin the car over and loadin it up to take it home.

Here's me and the previous owner takin the driveshaft off so we could haul it home.

Here are some pictures of the car at the shop, tryin to get some of the junk out of it and get the new seats in which are also pictured below.

Ya the engine bays nothin to look at, kinda like the rest of the car right now. but heres a picture of the torn up white seats i took out and an extra set of black ones that came with the car. didnt end up using them so they're just sittin around now.

I had to raise the rear end up because the fenders always rubbed on the wheels. not that i'm complaining about raising it. you can see the new shackles on the leaf springs. and while i was at it i decided to clean up the look of the rear end a little

After that i got my new shocks in means the old ones werent long enough after raising the back end. They came blue but that wouldnt work with the back end so i painted them red and waited about three hours and then put them on.
Before and after.

Here are some pics of the car that night after i had gotten the work to the rear end done.
that'd be my girlfriend in the passenger seat. she actually helped me put the shocks on means they were a little wet yet from paint and she helped put the rear wheels back on. she might turn out to be a mechanic after all lol.

one night i actually got the garage for the apollo. first and last time that'll happen.

i put new racing seats in the front and i painted my back seat black to match. that vinyl paint from napa works amazing.
