Dedicated to the a great Luxury automobile builder: Lincoln
Yo yo! Welcome to my page! Here you’ll find all the information on my car. A 1998 Lincoln Continental dubbed “Silver Serpent”. But first a little background.
I spent about 2 years looking for that perfect car. It wasn’t easy. I spent hundreds of hours researching what I liked, how to find it and how to get the best deal. I knew what I liked. It was just hard to find cuz I developed a really specific criteria for myself.
Then one day in March of 2003, I went to a dealer where I saw a couple of really mint cars. One was a 2000 Black Buick Regal GS w/43,000km and a 1999 Silver Pontiac Bonneville SSEI w/62,000km. After much deliberating (3 weeks), I decided on the Bonny. Upon arrival there on April 5/03, we parked beside a Lincoln Continental. I thought it was sweet but too much $$$$ for me. So we made our way to the Bonny ready for a test drive. Then a salesman (who we met before) runs up to me and says…
“I know what you like and have something to show you!” He shows me the very same Continental. I hesitate until he shows me the price. $21000 Canadian. $3000 Cheaper than the Bonny and it had only 83000 km on it. We test drove both actually and although the Bonny was a ride from hell with that blower, we had to go for the Lincoln of it’s exclusivity and rarity in the area. Trust me. I still get stares!
So we negociated and I ended up paying $19000 Canadian ($13k US) which I thought was a hell of a deal. I then looked up the Canadian market value of my car and guess what I found? I bought my car for $5000 under market-value at the time. I was so happy!
So you see. With some time and patience, you really will end up with the car you most love in the end!
And now the car.
