welcome to the disaster that i call my 2nd love. i first got into 240's when i was 16. i saw a guy in philly with an s13 and he drifted almost the entire way around the left side of the philly convention center.
remember to rate my ride. id like to have 5 stars an A for effort and is like to share my car with as many people as possible
GOOD NEWS GOOD NEWS PASTA HAS PICTURES FROM THE INITIAL ENGINE SWAP. I WILL BE POSTING THOSE ON THIS PAGE WITHIN THE NEXT TWO DAYS.
i bought my first coupe when i was 18. i installed an hks suction intake and an hks exhaust. suprisingly enough i am still using that exhaust on my current car but plan to swap it out next spring. i had her lowered on tein springs and kyb. those blew so i changed them out for what i am still running. eibach sportline springs and tokico shocks. after those mods were done. i did an rb20 swap and had great fun with that till one sad night i blew up the motor. so that was the end of that. after that drama and financial
hair pulling. i decided that i was going to go after an SR motor. i was workin with really tight funds so i opted for the REDTOP. i swapped it in and havent looked back since.
before i get too far lets all take a second to remember my beautiful white lady who has since been removed from active duty.
i have decided to keep her in the hopes of saving up some extra cash and either doing an s15 sr motor swap or an ls build.
so moving along. i was out of a 240 for about 2 and a half years, cause i ran outta money to complete the SR build. sad right. i just didnt have the cash to get it all goin again and a new body (which i needed badly).
i needed a new body because well funny story i hope you have a second. once my rb blew all i had was enough cash to buy the motor swap package and a beater vehicle to put around in. i ended up buying my girlfriends dads truck. a 1990 f150 lariat xlt. this thing was a monster. (ill put pics up towards the end.) so anyways i never leave my car in gear, just so happens i went out with friends and left my keys home incase anyone might need my truck. i get home and it looks like it hasnt moved at all. i go inside grab my keys and get ready to head out. (another tid bit, my f150 had 33in tires and sat high enough that i could comfortably reach in and push in the clutch and turn the key before i get in) so i head out the door still not knowing someone drove my truck and left it in gear. since i never do such a thing i didnt even look when i did my start up from outside of the vehicle. can i just tell you that as soon as i started it and eased my hand off the clutch the thing took off down the driveway heading for my car. i jumped to try and get in to hit the brake but all i managed to do was grab the steering wheel and be dragged down the driveway screaming. infront of my truck 30 ft down the driveway was my white lady. PAUSE think about what a fullsize 90's ford pickup does to the back of a nissan with its e-brake on and is in reverse...
TOO LATE,
DAMAGE DONE, REAR END LOOKING LIKE IT WAS MASSCRED, HOW WAS THE FORD U ASK. ONE EFFING SCRATCH ON THE BUMPER.
i called my insurance company and explained how i damaged my own vehicle. they sent out a claims adjuster and i recieved a check for 2,800. i also managed to get them to not take my 240 or salvage title it. so happy days for that.
so with this new lease on life and possibilities with money. i paid a few bills and as every nissan guy will tell. i dumped the rest into my car. i found A guy on craigslist that came to my house and for $500 he made the rear end look as close to new as possible and from there i was back. got my sr running and got my white lady back on the road and enjoyed a stock side mount intercooled sr boosting at 6lbs. it was loads of fun.
around august of 08' i started looking for a new body.
