This is a '68 Buick skylark custom, I've had for a couple of years. It's pretty much as it would have been when it was new. I'm trying to keep as original as I can. It has a 350ci with a 4 barrel quadrajet (reconditioned recently) and a 2 speed auto. I'm told the 4 brl produces 280hp and it has a lot of low down torque. There were only 8,000 of these made and I only know of around 6 of these in Australia. Body parts for these are non-existent in OZ especially grilles. These are even rare in the US and hard to come by. Haven't had to do much to it, the engine bay was a disgrace, this has been cleaned up and made to look presentable, new air cleaners, valve covers, brake master cylinder, booster, washer and wiper motors, reco carby and radiator. I've added a new exhaust system 2-1/2" and it purs like a kitten. A new top was added this year and new carpet is ready to install. The frame has some rusty bits which I'm gradually fixing with some plate welding. Next on the list is re-chroming the bumpers and some plastic chroming around the dash. The upholstery is perfect - all i needed to fix was the rear view mirror and sun visors, oh yeah and the radio was replaced with a new custom BUICK with the right face, knobs etc. - not original but looks great, and the door trims are ok for now - later!. It has all the right badges, mouldings and lights, and everything works - not interested in entering it in show judging - I just love driving it.
